When importing from China to any other place in the world, one of the most important topics you must focus on is the freight cost. In this article, we will focus on the required information for calculating freight costs.
What is a freight cost?
A freight cost is a price for shipping a specific cargo from one point to another. The price depends on the form of the cargo, the mode of carriage (truck, container, rail, aircraft), the weight of the cargo and the distance to the destination of delivery. Many shipping services, especially air carriers, use dimensional weight for price calculation, taking into account both the weight and volume of the cargo.
